We just added “I Still Believe” by Lecrae and For KING + COUNTRY to Project 88.7!
Let’s be honest. Sometimes we look at what’s happening in our lives and in the world around us and get discouraged. It can be hard at times to hold onto hope. I love “I Still Believe” because in it, Lecrae & For KING + COUNTRY, acknowledge the gravity of the hard things that can happen in life but also acknowledge that even in hard times we have hope in Jesus.
He is fully able to intervene in circumstances in our world and in our lives to turn things around and bring change. He can revive us spiritually when we’re dull and complacent. He can heal physical, mental, relational, and emotional wounds. He can bring peace to chaos. This is the kind of hope you’ll hear in “I Still Believe.” And our ultimate hope is in the return of Jesus when He will come back and make every wrong thing right and fill the world with His peace and righteousness.
Here’s something I’m praying and I want to invite you to do the same. Especially if you’re feeling discouraged, ask God to help you do what Romans 12:12 says: Rejoice in our confident hope, be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. Keep holding onto hope for what God can do in this life. And while you do, keep your hope anchored in the perfect restoration Jesus will bring to the whole world when He comes back.
Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. (Romans 12:12 NLT)
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:3-4 NLT)
