I was challenged last week to start bringing “yes/no” questions to God and journal the response.
I just started simple…
“God, do you want me to chase this opportunity? I’ll listen…”
“God, should I talk to this person about this? I’ll listen…”
“God, should I say no to this offer? I’ll listen…”
It’s been amazing. While I feel I listen to God all the time, it’s been more of a gut check, or I bring it to God in a conversation saying, “if this is right, open doors, and if not, please close them.”
Asking yes/no questions has simplified my conversation with God and allowed me to be quiet, and listen for a response. It’s been really freeing.
Why am I sharing this? It’s just another tool I’ve been given to hear from God throughout the day. Try it this week. His answers might surprise you and give you confidence to walk towards, or walk away, whatever is next.
